english

In English we are learning about character strengths and how they related to things in the real world and in movie as well as tv shows we then had to right how they related to the topic my 6 were team work, love, forgiveness, creativity, judgment and bravery and i based them on the movies Zootopia and tarzan

i saw this strength in the movie zootopia when Judy and nick  solved case together and found out why the animals were going savage

this character strength was shown in the movie zootopia when nick tells Judy about his past and why he doesn't let people  get to him which made them connect

this showed in the movie zootpopia when Nick forgave judy for saying that all predators will go savage and Judy forgave nick for saying she was a dumb bunny

This character trait was shown in tarzan when he found a way to around the forest
It shows us that it is important to be creative because you can always find different way to do things
I think that you can always learn form you rmistakes  bye beying creative

i think this showed in the movie zootopia when judy was being judged because she was a bunny and because she wanted to follow her dreams of being a cop

i think this strength showed in the movie tarzan when he decided to stand up to the real world and talk to humans and to go be with them as he knew he wasn't an animal.

zootopia

An important idea in Zootopia is:"anyone can be anything" witch represents Judy hoops.Judy was one of many siblings and she lived in a small city called bunny borrow with her mum dad and 275. in the movie she shows that she wants to be a cop but people doubt her and they say that she can't be a cop as she is a bunny and bunnies aren't cops. but just don't give up she keeps trying and even tho she fails she learns from her mistakes and keeps on trying.

A  statement that is a big part in the movie is" anyone can be anything" this takes part when nick said to Judy when she told him she was a cop. that dreams don’t come true and no one can be what they want to be if they came true he wouldn't be selling pops on the side of the street for a living. i think Judy could be a cop if she wants to be as long as she doesn't give up and if nick tried hard he would be doing what he dreams to do as well.

the second statement in the movie is "no one tells me what i can and cannot become". this applies in the movie when nick and Judy are arguing about weather Judy can be a cop as she is just a dumb bunny and bunnys aren't cop. i think that no one should be told what they can become as they are who they are and can become what they want to be and not be doubted or told otherwise.

The third statement in the movie is" life is a little bit messy." we all make mistakes. no matter what type of animal you are change starts with you this applied in the movie when Judy was talking to the media about the animals going savage i think this statement is true if you want the perfect world you dream to have you need to make a change no matter who you are change starts with you.

At the end of the movie Judy finally sees zootopia as the world its meant to be there were ups and downs on the way but she finally sees what she expected in the world nick decides to start working as Judy partner and they end up being best friend.

HEALTH TAHA WAIRUA

In health we are learning about spiritual well being.
spiritual well being is your values and your beliefs, your personal life, your identity, your self awareness, your traditions, your Coulter, your religions, self worth, attitude, motivation, goals, what you believe in and  the way you live.

this topic i have learnt:more about identity bye taking a personal values assessment. this test tells your more about your self that you might not of known is true.

My identity poster

FROM THE VALUES YOU CHOSE, WRITE ABOUT THE TWO THAT ARE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU
WHY IS THIS VALUE IMPORTANT TO YOU?
RECALL A MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU REALLY ‘LIVED’ THIS VALUE.
IF THIS VALUE IS NOT BEING RESPECTED BY OTHERS, HOW MIGHT YOU FEEL OR REACT?
Trust
Trust is important because without it you wouldn't have a good relationship with your friends or family
When making friends or when a friend tells you something they trust that you won’t tell everyone
Made because  trust is important in life and when someone ruins your trust it means they didn't care
Respect
because without respect no one is going to wanna be around you
In class when the teacher is talking you show respect bye
listening
Annoyed because when you shows respect to others they need to show it back

Child Trafficking
This term in social studies we got a choice of human trafficking, child soldiers or child slaves. i choose to do a presentation on human trafficking. i choose this topic because  i didn't know what human trafficking was and wanted to learn about it.human trafficking is when someone illegally takes a child usaly a girl from there home to force them into work or evan for prostatuition.

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1TyJ_zSkTryP4fsqwFXwLLIVdl34fOyiGWS_q1enrWI/edit#slide=id.p

I learned that human trafficking is one of the largest crimes in some countries as well as drug trafficking and illegal arms.

My most use full source was a video where 3 girls share their story on what they went through during their time in child trafficking.

My attempt of Sonia Terk Delaunay art work

5/3/19
in art we are doing lino cutting to help us understand more about Sonja terk. we are also trying to get a better look and leading lines and focal points in completing these.

Our techniques we have been using are: piratical knowledge. we researched a drawing of terk Delaney work to  understand a better look at what we are doing.we then got to pieces of lino and had to trace our work on to the lino. then we had to shade in the part of lino we didn't want to carve out. finally we started cutting the lino.

what i would change: i would try add different bits of her work on to my lino to make it more powerful.

Art (Micheal Mew)

In art we have been learning about vocail points and leading lines.and art done by Michael Mew. using the skills we learnt about. we made our own art inspired by michael mew. first we got magazine's and cut out pictures that stuck out to us.After we found out pictures we sketched them around or ages in our book to try and put them were we thought they would fit.then we glue the magazine cut out and glue them on to a brown piece of paper.we then had to choose which one was our vocal point and have the leading lines pointing to the point we also drew a bird that had a meaning to our school i choose the mohua because i thought it whent best with my work. finally we added some watercolor to make it look colorful.

image of my bird i choose

here is an image of my art work

my leading lines lead to the image in the middle i chose this image as my vocal because i thought it was most intense image and it has a lot of color and i choose the other images as i thought they looked creative and worked well together.
